For those of you who didn’t experience the film in 3D, here’s the 2D version.

L’uomo Vogue/John Varvatos/Guns ‘n Roses

So last night we, along with everybody else in town, headed to the John Varvatos store located in the old CBGB space for the L’Uomo Vogue Fashion Week party. We’re really not rock and roll types so we’ve actually never been in the space-and it’s heyday was a little before our time. It was fun to catch up with friends including David X Prutting, Cristina Civetta, Francesco Civetta, Rachel Heller, Lauren Rae Levy, Sammi Blair, Jesper Lannung, Eddy Bogaert, Emma Snowdon Jones, David Foote and many many more.

Famous faces were there as well to witness the 17 song set presented by the very tardy GNR led by Axl Rose. Others seen included: Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, John Varvatos, Rachel Hunter, Kelly Cutrone, Sean Lennon and Sebastian Bach.

Native Son in Real 3-D, directed by Eric Ray Davidson

Last night was the world premiere of Native Son’s Fashion Presentation in Real 3-D (the same company that brought you Avatar!) directed by Artwing’s own Eric Ray Davidson.  This was the first time Real 3-D has been used for a fashion presentation, so history was actually being made.  We are sure it won’t be the last time this will be used, as the 3D really shows off the clothes.  It was really trippy to watch the model on screen and not only see the front of his clothes but the sides at the same time.  The presentation was held at Pier 59.  Along with the film, there was also a live fashion presentation with models in the clothing on pedestals throughout the space.

Happy Valentine’s Day
