Randall Slavin featured in American Photo

This month’s American Photo features a story and interview with Randall Slavin about his recent project Reach: 24 Portraits by Randall Slavin. The portraits include stripped down background, hair, makeup and wardrobe and features iconic subjects including:  President Bill Clinton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Zoe Saldan, Eva Longoria and Salman Rushdie.  Proceeds from sales benefit Charlize Theron’s Charity Outreach Africa Project.

Randall Slavin has just finished his collaboration with Charlize Theron to benefit her Africa Outreach Project.  Randall shot a series of 24 portraits of major celebrities, designers and sports figures.  The subjects include:  Clint Eastwood, Penelope Cruz, David Beckham, Kobe Bryant, Hilary Swank and Charlize herself.

In celebration and to raise funds for the project there will be a show next Wednesday in Los Angeles at the Anneberg Space for Photography.  If you’re in town you should definitely check it out.  Tickets are only $100 and proceeds go to Charlize’s charity.
