While Salt had a solid start, the weekend box office was again headlined by Inception, this time with how well it held up. Christopher Nolan‘s dream caper drew an estimated $42.9 million, easing a mere 32 percent from last weekend. That marked the smallest second-weekend percentage drop of the summer for any major release.

Last night we were invited to the Hugo Boss Concert on the roof of the 601 building. These parties are always one of the highlights of the summer. Along with DJ’s Cassidy and Mel Debarge, guests were treated to performance by Janelle Monae and Robin Thicke. We attended with our old friends Cleo Perry and Emma Snowdon Jones. We were guests of the gorgeous Ana Pavoni-the best hostess ever. The party had a very private soiree feeling to it. Loads of friends were there inlcuding: Tim Morehouse, Mickey Boardman, Louis Sarmiento, Jaslene Gonzales, Carson Griffith, Nole Marin, Ward Simmons and Tyson. Below are a combo of pics we took on our camera phone and some we lifted from PMC. ( Love to Chance Yeh at PMC!)

Monday night marked the 75th Anniversary of the acquisition of the Chateau Haut-Brion by the US Financier Clarence Dillon. To celebrate the occasion, some of New York’s and the worlds most influential people came out to The Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate, drink wine from their vineyard and dine on chef Daniel Boulud’s amazing food. The beautifully decorated gala (produced by Nadine Johnson) was hosted by Prince Robert de Luxembourg, President of Domaines Clarence Dillon and great-grandson of Dillon who bought the Pessac First Growth estate in 1935. Some of the high profile guests included: President Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Zac Posen, Gillian Hearst Simonds, Jay McInerney, Jamie Johnson, Linda Vojtova, Jamison Ernest and Charlie Rose.
He may look familiar as Rosalie’s bastard boyfriend in the newest Twilight movie, but soon he will be coming to our television with some regularity in the new HBO drama Boardwalk Empire. The pilot was directed by Martin Scorcese. Add to this a famous family/last name and it looks like everyone will know Jack Huston very soon. He was recently shot by Eric Ray Davidson for Details Magazine. To see more of Eric’s work go to ArtWingNY.
