Alessandra Ambrosio posted this to her Twitter account from the Calvin Klein party at the Fasano Terrace.  Notice the  very naked model.  Now if she’s only invited us to these parties.

Brighton Beach Memoirs open on Broadway

Posted in Uncategorized by blogwing on 10/26/2009

Last night was the opening of the revival of Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs. We can hardly believe it but we saw the original Brighton Beach Memoirs and we are in a bit of shock that we are now old enough to see the revival of a show that we’ve seen in its original Broadway run. The production is not so over the top as we remember. Neil Simon’s jokes are usually set up as zingers where you almost expect the drum roll ba da bump! The jokes were underplayed and we feel it was a good thing. The mother is played by the always wonderful Laurie Metcalf and Eugene is handled masterfully by Noah Robbins. We recommend the play whether you’ve already seen it before and especially if you saw the (ham-fisted) movie featuring Blythe Danner. If you haven’t seen before, you will be in for a treat and is a nice introduction to the most successful playwright of all time, Neil Simon.

Others at the opening: Bill Irwin, Joan Rivers, James Lipton and Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
